Krombacher conducts mobile promotion

German beer brand Krombacher has recently begun a promotion with mobile device company Blackberry. The initiative, developed by Blyk Media Partners and Werk Creativ, consists of a collection of branded "mobile stickers" that consumers can download and use in their communications. The free icons are available for Blackberry, Android and Apple devices.

"Advertisers have tended to stick to the more tried-and-true ad formats like posts and banners that have typically worked well in the digital and social media environments," said Kevin Astle, president of Blyk. "We were delighted to see Molson use BBM's branded stickers to augment the impact of their NHL sponsorship pre-Christmas. However, we are especially excited to see Krombacher's January launch of a fully-clickable range of strongly-branded emoticon stickers, which emphasize the sociability and quality of their internationally acclaimed brands."
