Hallmark conducts street promotion in Toronto

Hallmark Canada conducted a holiday season promotion in Toronto this weekend. On Dec. 11 and 12, the company operated a temporary installation in the downtown area of the city which distributed free greeting cards for consumers to send to friends and family members. Participants were also offered hot chocolate and encouraged to add hand-written notes to the card. The cards were then stamped and placed in a mailbox to be delivered. Consumers could locate the mobile installation by following the company's social media pages. According to the company, approximately 1,300 cards were distributed.
"At Hallmark, helping people connect in meaningful ways is the centre of our business and, at a time of year when many of us are guilty of getting caught up in the hustle and bustle, we wanted to encourage people to take a moment and let loved ones know they are thinking of them," said Paul Murphy, general manager of Hallmark Canada. "It's amazing that the simple gesture of sending a love note can brighten someone's day and we are excited to be a part of that experience for Canadians."
