AGFA INTRODUCES DIGITAL CAMERA

Germany-based Agfa is targeting the home and office markets with a new digital camera called the ePhoto 307. The camera uses Adobe's PhotoDeluxe software and Agfa's PhotoWise software. It will be available in North America later this month. The ePhoto 307 allows Apple Macintosh and PC users to take pictures and manipulate them on their computer for a variety of professional and personal applications. It features two resolution settings. The lower resolution setting is for on-screen applications such as Web pages, electronic presentations and e-mail, while the higher resolution is for printed documents. North American print advertising for the ePhoto 307 will begin next year. It will be created by Andersen & Lembke of New York. In Canada, Agfa will localize the ads and handle the media buy in-house. Agfa already markets ActionCam and StudioCam digital cameras to professional photographers, photojournalists, publishers, graphic designers, art directors and catalog photographers.
