MULTI-MEDIA MAGAZINE FOR DOCTORS

Black Bear Communications Inc. of Toronto will launch a CD-ROM medical journal in January. Called MEDI-RxOM, the publication will offer advertisers access to Canadian family physicians and specialists. MEDI-RxOM sales and marketaing director Joseph Duz told Adnews most of the advertising would be focussed around pharmaceuticals, but could also include spots for such items as high-end cars. The publication will carry a range of articles on topics such as case studies, patient information, travel, computers. There will also be a medical trivia section. MEDI-RxOM will be published quarterly. It will be mailed free of charge to medical practitioners across Canada. Black Bear also publishes a multi-media dental journal called DENTI-RxOM.
