Canola Council begins online campaign

The Canola Council of Canada has begun a national campaign called "Canola Country" intended to raise awareness of the impact of the canola industry in Canada. The campaign is also in support of the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership international trade agreement, which, according to the organization, would be of benefit to the Canadian canola sector.

The campaign makes use of a website at <http://www.canolacountry.ca>, at which visitors can submit photographs depicting the effect of canola on their lives. The site also offers an online video and a collection of information about canola and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

"Through the '#CanolaCountry' campaign, we are helping Canadians understand what canola means to our prosperity, livelihoods and communities across Canada," said Patti Miller, president of the organization. "We are inviting Canadians living and working in Canola Country to share what canola's success means to them at CanolaCountry.ca and on Twitter."
