Kids Now Canada conducts social media campaign

Toronto-based charitable organization Kids Now Canada has begun a social media campaign called the "Love Thy Selfie Pledge." The promotion is intended to foster self-esteem among among children by encouraging participants to take a pledge to develop a positive self-view. The initiative invites participants to submit a photograph of themselves to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, along with a campaign hashtag. Submitters are then encouraged to nominate three other people to also take the pledge. Consumers can also donate to the organization via text message.
