TORONTO REFERENCE LIBRARY TO SELL ITS NAME

The Metro Toronto Reference Library is looking to raise some quick cash by selling its name to a corporate sponsor, according to a report in The Toronto Star. By joining the ranks of Toronto-area edifices now sporting brand-name names such as the Hummingbird (formerly O'Keefe) Centre and the Ford (formerly North York) Centre, the Metro Ref hopes to raise several million badly-needed dollars from the name swap. The library is also looking for sponsors for five of its major collections.
