KODAK REALIGNS ACCOUNT

Eastman Kodak Co. Ltd. is making changes to its $260 million consumer global media buying account. Under the new arrangement, J. Walter Thompson Co. (JWT) will handle most of the media buying in the U.S., Latin America and Asia/Pacific, while Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide (O and M) will perform most of the media buying in Europe. Ted Knight, a spokesperson for Kodak Canada of Toronto, told Adnews that the changes would probably have some impact on the company's Canadian advertising, but he said it would probably take a few months to work them out. Both O and M and JWT, which have offices in Toronto, have handled Kodak advertising in Canada in recent months.
