Stratford Festival conducts Sound of Music promotion

The Stratford Festival of Stratford, ON has begun a digital and social media promotion supporting its 2015 production of The Sound of Music. The promotion, developed by Triangles Agency of Toronto, makes use of a website at <http://www.soundofstratford.com> that provides information about the musical, along with quizzes and various social media features. The initiative is intended to raise interest among fans of the musical in attending the festival. It will continue for the duration of the show's run, which will end in November.

"We are pleased to add Triangles to the agencies we work with on digital projects," said Anita Gaffney, executive director of the festival. "We know collaboration is of the utmost importance as we venture into this relatively new marketing space. It has been some years since we took the first bold steps, developing one of the first Facebook ticketing apps, which allowed friends to share festival plans right down to seat locations. This interactive site designed and developed by Triangles takes us deeper into the realm of youth marketing, an area we will continue to pursue through the development of games, online study guides and educational apps."
