Ferrero readies Nutella Truck Tour

Italian food company Ferrero will conduct a Canadian promotion for its Nutella brand this summer. Called the "Nutella Truck Tour," the promotion will stop at Toronto, Quebec City, Edmonton and Montreal between June 27 and Aug. 12. At each stop, promotional workers in a branded vehicle will distribute a free all-day breakfast. The stops will include interactive activities, prizes, and personal appearances by chef and television personality Stefano Faita. This will be the first time the company has conducted this touring promotion in Canada.

The tour is being accompanied by an online video in which Faita and other promotional workers use the truck to distribute Nutella-themed food to morning commuters in Toronto and Montreal. The promotion also involves a series of breakfast recipes that have been posted online at <http://addjoy.nutella.ca>.

"Nutella has been a beloved part of Canadians' breakfast for more than 40 years," said Maureen Romansky, senior brand manager for Nutella. "To celebrate the love Canadians have for Nutella, we want to say thank you by bringing a little joy to  communities across Canada with our fun 'Nutella Truck Tour.' With the help of chef Stefano Faita, we are also introducing five delicious recipes that make it easy to create a special breakfast that kids and parents will enjoy."
