Osheaga Music and Arts Festival releases promotional game

The Montreal-based Osheaga Music and Arts Festival has launched a mobile game promoting the lineup of its 2015 event. The game, called "The Road to Osheaga," was developed by Behaviour Interactive of Montreal. In it, the two mascot characters of the festival drive through the streets of the city, avoiding obstacles in order to unlock audio clips of the bands who will play at the event. High-scoring players will be entered into a draw for free passes to the festival. The player to achieve the highest score will receive a trip to Montreal and two Gold passes to the festival. The free game is available for Android and Apple devices. The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival will run from July 31 to August 2. The event is managed by Evenko.

"The Osheaga team is very proud to be the first festival in North America to give such a gift to our fans to celebrate our 10th anniversary," said Nick Farkas, vice-president of concerts and events at Evenko. "With this game, fans can hear the music while discovering the artists and bands on the lineup, which is added value to their experience. We are glad to have found an original and fun way to bring together the world of arts and music with the gaming world, two complementary areas that are constantly making headlines and promoting the city of Montreal."
