Microsoft Advertising Canada signs deal with GroupM

Microsoft Advertising Canada of Mississauga has signed an exclusive agreement with GroupM to sell advertising on its multi-screen properties. These include the website MSN, audio and video chat service Skype, online gaming service Xbox and web-based email service Outlook.com. GroupM and its subsidiaries will offer services including device-level reporting, creative sequencing, targeting, frequency capping, sequential messaging and mobile advertising. Later in 2015, the company will introduce a new adaptable advertising system designed for multi-screen campaigns.

"Microsoft Advertising's platforms currently reach more than 85% of Canadian online audiences," said Brandon Grosvenor, vice-president of Microsoft Advertising Canada. "Our new multi-screen offerings extend our reach even further with the addition of iOS, Mac and Android platform integration. The partnership will connect GroupM's clients with the power of the Microsoft ID, enabling the delivery of engaging advertising to the right audience, with the right message, at the right time, no matter what screen they're using."

GroupM is the parent company of WPP media agencies including Mindshare, MEC, MediaCom and Maxus, as well as Xaxis and Catalyst.
