Maple Leafs sign publishing deal

Toronto-based publisher Fenn McClelland & Stewart has signed an agreement with Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment to produce a series of books. The eight adult and children's books will be about the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, including the official Maple Leafs 100th anniversary publication in 2016. Each book will be published under the official license of the Maple Leafs and the National Hockey League.
The first two titles will be releases this fall. The first, called We Are Your Leafs, consists of profiles of past and present players and coaches. The second, called M is for Maple Leafs, is a hockey-themed alphabet book for children.
"We are excited to be partnering with Fenn McClelland & Stewart to bring the Leafs stories to such a wide range of fans, especially as we approach our centennial," said Shannon Hosford, vice-president of marketing and communications at Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment. "The eight books will offer something for every generation of Leafs Nation, from our veterans of the Original Six era to the newest members just learning how to read."
