New marketing vice-president at Avigilon

Vancouver-based security technology company Avigilon has appointed Margaret Herndon to the position of vice-president of global marketing and communications. She will head the company's communications and marketing strategy for its line of security cameras, video management software and access control devices. Herndon has spent the previous 10 years at Hewlett Packard, where she held a series of marketing positions, most recently vice-president of global industry marketing. Prior to joining HP, she was vice-president of marketing at software company TruLogica.
