SOFTWARE COMPANY TO SEEK AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
FamilyWare Products Inc. of Vancouver added to its software line last week by purchasing Text Generation Technologies of Redwood City, California, and may look for an agency in the future to promote its products, FamilyWare president Michael Brown told Adnews this week. Currently the company has relied mostly upon public relations campaigns done in-house. Text Generation Technologies is the developer of Mind Prober software, which has sold over 500,000 units in North America through direct mail. Mind Prober is a tool for examining various aspects of people's minds. It includes four components: a dream interpreter, an IQ test, a personality assessor and a career path analyzer. Brown told Adnews he plans to make Mind Prober available through retail outlets across North America. The product is also available through the Internet on a pay-per-use basis. Brown hopes to have the software in some retail outlets by Christmas. FamilyWare's software titles include Family Info, Family BabyBook and Family Christmas.
