Krispy Kreme resumes film festival contest

Donut chain Krispy Kreme Canada has begun a second annual contest promotion called the "Krispy Kreme Film Festival." Until Sept. 5, Canadian consumers can enter by submitting a donut-themed short film to <http://www.krispykremefilmfestival.ca>. The entries will be evaluated by a panel of celebrity judges headed by actor Verne Troyer. The winner will be announced at a special event in Toronto on Sept. 10. The grand prize winner will receive a year's worth of free donuts, $1,000 and a trophy. The promotion is being supported with social media activities. The contest is being operated by Krispy K Canada, the Canadian franchisee of the Krispy Kreme brand.
