Desjardins Foundation conducts volunteer contest

The Montreal-based Desjardins Foundation has resumed a contest promotion called the "Desjardins Foundation Prizes" for a third year. The initiative invites volunteers working for non-profit organizations to apply for the prize. Winners will receive $1,000 to donate to the charitable organization of their choice. According to the company, the program will distribute a total of $102,000 to charities in Quebec and Ontario.
"Volunteers often work behind the scenes," said Louise Marie Brousseau, director of the Desjardins Foundation. "They deserve to be recognized. That's why Desjardins Foundation is bringing back the Desjardins Foundation Prizes Volunteer Involvement for a third edition. These prizes highlight the contribution and commitment of these individuals to the social and economic well-being of their communities."
