Avida, IMD Health form joint venture

Toronto-based in-store marketing company Avida has formed a joint venture with IMD Health, a Toronto-based company specializing in media located in medical examination rooms. They will jointly operate a new marketing service called the Canadian Digital Health Network, described by the two companies as the largest of its kind in Canada. The media service is intended to reach patients and healthcare professionals through digital displays located in pharmacies, physician exam rooms and hospitals. The displays will carry marketing messages, as well as content such as news and weather updates.

"Digital media sits at the core of all future advertising, as intuitive digital displays will become a relevant feature in healthcare facilities across Canada over the next few years," said Kevin Delano, CEO of IMD Health. "The CDHN will lead as the largest network in Canada with an impressive 45 million viewers in over 27,000 screens this year alone."
