CakeMail releases WordPress plugin

Montreal-based email marketing company CakeMail has released a new plugin for content management system WordPress intended to assist in the creation of contact lists. It allows users to more easily develop web-based sign-up forms via which visitors to a WordPress-based site can submit their email addresses for further communication.
"Speaking to people that matter is at the heart of an email marketing strategy," said CakeMail CEO Francois Lane. "It's important to take every opportunity to capture valuable information about those visiting your website and begin interacting with them for the long haul. By building an easier way to do this for WordPress websites, we believe the simplicity of our offering will attract more users to reap the benefits of email marketing. Currently, there are more than 72 million WordPress sites, and many of them are not currently utilizing the contact management system functionality. Our next steps will be in the area of mobility and content creation to promote inspiration and empower customers to use CakeMail whether in the office or on the go."
