NEW BOARD GAME HITS STORE SHELVES

Screamer Bill Productions of Toronto will introduce a new adult conversation game to the North American market later this month. Called Rumor has it, players take turns in the role of Rumormonger. In this role, they select and spread rumors about the life experiences and beliefs of the individual players in turn. Other players then use their knowledge, judgement and intuition to try to guess the truth of these rumors to earn points. The player scoring the most points wins. Radio and print advertising for the game will begin next fall. It will be created in-house by Screamer Bill. Currently the game is being promoted using media relations done by The Kenilworth House of Toronto, and is being tested in bars, planes and trains. The game was developed by commercial director Jeff Eamer and business partner David Spence. It will be distributed through Mad Hatter's Toy & Game Factory of Oakville, Ont., and will be available at Dufferin Game Room stores across Canada and in other independent game stores.
