COREL TO LAUNCH PERSONAL ORGANIZER
By Adnews Staff
Ottawa-based Corel Corp. will introduce a personal digital assistant to the worldwide market in mid-1997. The machine will let users browse the World Wide Web, prepare notes using either a keyboard or handwriting recognition and send and retrieve e-mail. They will also be able to synchronize their databases with the office or home base while on-line or connected to a keyboard docking station. Corel's PDA also offers all the standard personal information management capabilities for scheduling, contact management and voice annotation. Worldwide print advertising will support the launch of the machine. It will be created in-house.
