Geomedia, a Toronto company specializing in media analytics and geographically targeted advertising, has signed Toronto-based Retailcommon to conduct its mobile coupon programs. Retailcommon's service delivers digital coupons to consumer mobile devices via text message or quick response code, as well as via email, Facebook or Twitter. "We are looking to bring digital advertising to retail in a way that has not yet happened in Canada," said Steve Acland, president of Geomedia. "Retailcommon is the first company with technology that services the needs and speed of our business. Their solution and interface are easy to use but the technology behind the scenes is extremely sophisticated."
