Sears Canada has retained the Toronto-based Unitas Reputation Agency to handle its internal and external advertising as well as to provide reputation services. The agency won the account in a review of an unknown number of firms specializing in retail clients. "In the end we agreed Sears Canada was not going to advertise its way out of its current situation," said Chris Brockbank, senior vice-president of marketing at Sears Canada. "We needed a partner that could unite Sears internally and help develop business building plans to achieve our short and long-term goals. We chose Unitas because their expertise in building brands and method of creating enthusiasm for companies are important factors for our success."
