MAGAZINE HAS NEW LOOK

Canadian Geographic magazine has a redesigned logo and a new column with its July/August issue. The new logo has a smaller, cleaner typeface, and the longitudinal and latitudinal lines have disappeared. The new column is called "Our Home and Native Tongue." It will discuss the origins of uniquely Canadian words and phrases. Canadian Geographic is distributed six times a year by subscription and newsstand sales. It has a circulation of about 250,000. The magazine is published by The Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
