Canadian Geographic Education begins Online Classroom program

Canadian Geographic Education, a program operated by The Royal Canadian Geographical Society, has begun an initiative called “Online Classroom.” Located at <http://onlineclassroom.cangeoeducation.ca>, the website offers a collection of free virtual learning resources aimed at parent and children who are isolated at home. The resources include interactive presentations that can be accessed by smartphones, tablets and virtual reality devices. The site will also host Google Hangouts in which participants can join celebrity guests for video chats on various topics, as well as take part in scavenger hunts, mapping exercises and geography quizzes.
