TELEMEDIA AND MEDIALINX TO PUBLISH NET MAG

Telemedia Communications of Toronto has teamed up with MediaLinx Interactive to launch a consumer Internet magazine. Called Sympatico Netlife. the publication will focus on destinations of interest to Canadians and on regional news. In addition, it will feature articles on new products and technological developments, and will offer World Wide Web reviews and how-to tips. Articles appearing in the first issue include: Online Made Easy: 10 Secrets for Smooth Surfing, Back to Cyberschool: The Best Homework Helpers on the Net and Dr. Sympatico: Your Guide to Thousands of Healthy Sites. Sympatico Netlife will have a circulation of 80,000, and will be distributed to Sympatico Internet service subscribers and via newsstands. The magazine will be published six times a year, with the first one being available Sept. 6. Four regional editions will be published: the Atlantic, Central, B.C. and the Prairies. Sympatico is a Canadian Internet service developed by the Stentor Alliance. MediaLinx of Toronto is the creator of the Sympatico Web site design and content. Telemedia publishes 15 consumer magazines including Canadian Living, TV Guide, Homemaker's, Coup de Pouce, Québec Elle and Western Living. The company also operates 24 radio stations in Quebec and Ontario.
