Canada Post begins Golden Shovels contest

Canada Post has begun a promotion in Quebec called the "Golden Shovels Contest." The initiative, which will run until April 15, is intended to raise public awareness about the danger that snow and ice on walkways pose to letter carriers. The contest is open to Quebec residents of urban areas who are served by letter carriers on foot. Customers can enter online at <http://www.canadapost.ca/goldenshovels>. Entrants must also clear snow from their home walkways, use sand or salt, keep stairs, walkways and driveways in good condition and remove any obstacles from around their mailboxes. Four prizes of $500 will be awarded.
