Eccotique Spa and Salons conducts Vancouver riot promotion

Eccotique Spa and Salons of Vancouver has begun a promotion tied to the June riots following the Stanley Cup hockey final. During the promotion, the company will give a $50 "Calm Down & De-Stress" gift certificate to consumers who show a photo ID and describe how they were involved in an illegal activity during the riot, such as looting, arson or aggressive acts. Consumers must then apply their fingerprints to the application and turn themselves in to the Vancouver Police Department. The gift certificate will be activated upon presentation of an official police arrest form. "Suspects can finally come to terms with their conscience, while the police can see justice is done," said Eccotique president Milajne Soligo. "These people obviously had a lot of pent up anger during all the chaos. We think they need to learn how to calm down and relax, which fits perfectly with our spa offerings. We want to see as many charges laid as possible with this. We're happy to donate the $50 gift certificates if it identifies the suspects. Naturally, we will limit it to one per rioter." The offer is being promoted with poster advertising. One execution depicts a rioter in a face pack posing for a mug shot, while another depicts a manicured hand being fingerprinted. Eccotique is a division of Megahair with seven locations in the Vancouver area.
