Tim Hortons begins shared coffee contest

Tim Hortons has begun a contest promotion called "Share a Moment, Share a Coffee." Until Oct. 9, consumers can submit stories and memories about sharing a cup of coffee online at <http://www.everycup.ca/shareamomentcontest> by means of text, photographs of videos. Submissions can also be entered through the company's Facebook page. Ten finalists will be selected by Tim Hortons, with the winner being chosen by public online voting. The winner will receive $5,000 worth of Tim Hortons coffee. The contest supports the latest phase of the company's ongoing "True Stories" national television advertising campaign, which also began this week. "Many people have their own Tim Hortons coffee story, but not necessarily a place to share it," said Glenn Hollis, vice-president of brand marketing and advertising at Tim Hortons. "This is a feel good contest and not just about a winner. I think people will genuinely enjoy reading about other guests' experiences, especially when they get to vote for their favourite."
