Haliburton Broadcasting Group has rebranded its CKEY-FM Z101 Niagara-region radio station as The New Z101 and introduced the new tagline, "Your Hit Radio Station." The station serves the St. Catharines, Welland and Niagara Falls region. The station now plays a programming line-up of contemporary popular music aimed at listeners between the ages of 18 and 54. Haliburton has also launched a new station in the region called Ed FM at 105.1 FM. The station, which uses the tagline, "Tune Your Head to Ed," plays popular music from the 1980s and 1990s as well as other time periods. This station is also aimed primarily at an 18- to 54-year-old audience. "With the exciting improvements we've made with the New Z101 along with the introduction today of 105.1Ed-FM, we now offer two radio formats with proven success that will deliver great audience ratings and results for our advertisers," said Ross Davies, vice-president of operations at Haliburton Broadcasting Group Radio.
