GROUPE EVEREST LAUNCHES MONTREAL CAMPAIGN

The City of Montreal launched an ad campaign earlier this month in an effort to promote the city. Entitled "Montreal, you're my city!", it was created by Groupe Everest Communication and Marketing Consultants of Montreal, which was awarded the contract last November. This year, exterior billboards are being used, as well as five separate television ads. Next year the focus will be on radio and newspaper advertising. In 1997, the five TV ads will be broadcast 3,500 times, while 425 exterior billboards and some 750 bus shelters will feature the "Montreal, you're my city!" slogan. The campaign will focus on five themes that highlight life in Quebec's largest city: its history, its culture, its influence on the international scene, its quality of life and its resources.
