ULTRAVISION BRINGS CONTACT LENS TO CANADA
By Adnews Staff
UltraVision, Inc. of Calgary will introduce a multifocal contact lens to North America by the end of the month. The company has been given the exclusive rights to market and distribute the product, which is made by The LifeStyle Company of Newark, New Jersey. UltraVision finance vice president Terry Booth told Adnews last week that the lenses are presently available on a limited basis in Canada, with a full launch to get under way within a week. Direct mail advertising targeting optometrists began last week. The lenses will also be advertised over a six-month period in optometric trade magazines, beginning in September. UltraVision ads are created by Perry Johnson Design of San Francisco, with some work also done in-house.
