University of Windsor begins marketing campaign

The University of Windsor in Windsor, ON has begun new marketing campaign intended to increase enrollment. The campaign, which uses the tagline, "Think UWindsor," focuses on the decision-making process of a prospective student choosing a university. The initiative consists of print, online, radio and television advertising in southwestern Ontario markets and in the Toronto area. The print and online ads feature word clouds listing attributes of the school collected during student focus groups, as well as photographs of students. Students also provided the voiceovers for the radio and television commercials. "Deciding where to spend the next three or more years of your life is a major decision for students and their families," said Holly Ward, executive director of public affairs and communications at the University of Windsor. "These ads capture the thought process behind this decision by highlighting UWindsor's unique qualities and the personalized education offered here. This message is especially important to reach outer markets where students might not be aware of all that UWindsor has to offer." The campaign was developed in-house by the school's public affairs and communications staff. The broadcast elements were created by Suede Productions of Windsor.
