Panera Bread hires Tag Idea Revolution

Bakery and cafe chain Panera Bread has retained Tag Idea Revolution as its agency of record for Canada. The agency will develop a communications and marketing program intended to introduce consumers in the Toronto area to the Panera brand, focusing on "the magic of the bakery," the flavour of the food and customer service. "For us, breaking bread with Panera is an exciting opportunity to help an established and well-loved brand build awareness of its unique menu offerings in Canada," said Gabriel Armstrong, executive vice-president of Tag. "We felt an instant alignment with Panera's ultra-passionate philosophy of bread being the cornerstone of sharing time with friends, family and all good things. It's a relationship we see flourishing in line with Panera’s growth strategy here in Canada." Panera operates three locations in the Greater Toronto Area with plans for future Canadian expansion. The approximately 1,400 locations are in operation in the US.
