INTEL UNVEILS NEW NOTEBOOK PROCESSOR

Intel Corporation, of Santa Clara, Calif., introduced its new 150 MHz Pentium processor for mobile computers this week. Available in North America immediately, it is being touted as the company's highest performance processor for portable computers. Computers using the chip with be able to have features such as high-resolution color screens, CD-ROM drives and full-motion video and stereo sound. Intel's Canadian marketing manager Pam Olivier told Adnews yesterday that no trade advertising will be done for the Pentiums. She added that numerous companies are scheduled to buy them, including International Business Machines Corp., Compaq Corp. and Dell Computer Corp.
