College of Massage Therapists of Ontario readies campaign

The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario is preparing a new animated advertising campaign intended to promote massage therapy as a contributor to health and wellness. The campaign, developed by Toronto-based Hostdevice, features television creative by animator Paul Fierlinger and the voices of Christopher Plummer, Lynn Redgrave and Isabella Rosselini. Print ads in the same style will also run in support. The campaign will run in advance of National Massage Therapy Awareness Week, which will take place from Oct. 24 to 30. "Ontarians live extremely busy lives and they need to understand that stress reduction is critical to optimal health," said Deborah Worrad, executive director of the college. "Raising awareness of the importance of massage therapy is one avenue to promote stress relief and the need to restore energy. This launch reinforces our continued commitment to improving the overall quality of life for those who live and work in Ontario."
