CLARIS OFFERS NET ACCESS WTH SOFTWARE

California-based Claris Corp. last week began offering Internet access in North America with every purchase of its ClarisWorks 4.0 software. The bundle includes Netscape as well as the Apple Connection Kit for Macintosh users and SpryNet for Windows 95. The deal runs until the end of December. ClarisWorks 4.0 has word processing, spreadsheet, database and communication capabilities. It also has an HTML translator that lets users translate files directly into World Wide Web-ready documents. In Canada, the bundle is being promoted using PR done by Atkins & Ellis Ltd. of Toronto.
