CIBC releases new television campaign

CIBC will break a new television advertising campaign today tied to its broadcast sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament and its ongoing "Switch" branding effort. The three 15-second animated commercials will air during live broadcasts and repeats of World Cups games. They will be accompanied by a 30-second commercial in which various CIBC employees identify the World Cup team that they support. "These new ads capture the excitement of international soccer and the thrill of cheering on your favourite team with your friends, family and community," said Stephen Forbes, CIBC's executive vice-president of marketing, communications and public affairs. "The whole world is anxiously anticipating the start of the games and we're proud to promote this spirit of competition."
