NATIONAL TRUST BANKS ON DMB&B

D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles has been handed the National Trust account. The Toronto agency won the business recently in a competition with two other unnamed agencies. National had been using agencies on a project basis, but decided to hire a single full-time agency that could get to know the company's entire business and provide consistent advertising, corporate affairs vice-president Susan Carter told Adnews in an earlier interview. In May, National hired Edelman Public Relations of Toronto for the PR portion of its account. The company spent almost $500,000 on advertising last year, according to ACNielsen estimates. National Trust has 180 offices across Canada.
