CTV Olympic Celebrations planned for February

Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium will conduct five events in February as part of its promotion of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. The events, called the "CTV Olympic Celebration," will take place in Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, St. John's and Quebec City during the games. Each one-day event will feature musical acts, cultural pavilions, screens displaying the consortium's coverage of the games, and zones themed after various sports. "This is a unique endeavour that extends the Olympic Games experience beyond traditional media while simultaneously bringing communities together to cheer on Canada's Olympians as they go for gold," said Keith Pelley, president of the consortium.
