AddMirror begins Canadian operations

UK-based out-of-home advertising company AddMirror is expanding into Canada. The company's service consists of ad space built into mirrors installed in the washrooms of bars and restaurants. Each mirror contains a motion sensor. When consumers approach, advertising appears behind the surface. Creative can be placed in six backlit positions, allowing a number of frames of content to be displayed in sequence. AddMirror Canada will initially offer an inventory of 150 displays in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in association with Mediacity of Toronto. The company plans to expand further in the spring. "When you first see the AddMirror, you're absolutely astounded," said Elliott Atkins, president of AddMirror Canada. "The sharp presentation of the images and storyboard tease and reveal of the advertising message just grabs you."
