Financial Planners Standards Council rebrands

The Toronto-based Financial Planners Standards Council has rebranded itself as the Financial Planning Standards Council. According to the organization, the modified name better reflects the purpose and role of the council, which is to advance financial planning standards in Canada. "Our brand revitalization is in keeping with the evolution of FPSC's role as the needs of Canadians continue to evolve," said Tamara Smith, the council's vice-president of marketing and brand management. "We saw an opportunity to more fully align our brand identity with our central purpose which has become more refined these past years. While our mission is still about professional standards in financial planning our work is broader in scope, with our central purpose ultimately about ensuring the financial planning needs of Canadians are well served." The rebranding work, which includes a new visual style and updated website, was led by Joanne Balles and Associates.
