Future Shop hires October 17 Media

Electronics retailer Future Shop has hired online marketing agency October 17 Media of Vancouver to develop a promotional game for its website. The Flash-based game, which is located at <http://www.futureshop.ca/playoffpad>, allows visitors to design and furnish their ideal room in which to watch the NHL Playoffs. The rooms will be displayed on the site for public voting. The entrant who receives the most votes will win a Bravia home theatre package. October 17 won the assignment in a competitive process involving an unknown number of firms. "We are very impressed with what October 17 has created for this campaign," said Nikki Hellyer, marketing director at Future Shop. "We have been working on incredibly tight timelines and they have delivered at every step. We're really looking forward to seeing the response from our consumers on this great campaign."
