STARBUCKS OPENS OUTLET IN SICK KIDS HOSPITAL

Starbucks Coffee Company of Seattle has teamed up with the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto to open a specialty coffee outlet in the hospital. In return, Starbucks will make an annual donation to the hospital Foundation and participate in fundraising activities. The store, which opened late last month is a 200 square foot kiosk that sells pastries, pre-packaged beans and travel tumblers in addition to coffee. Canadian advertising for Starbucks is done by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco. Harrison, Young, Pesonen & Newell of Toronto does media buying.
