Write On! Communications of Red Deer, Alta. is accepting advertising in its Write On! magazine with the September issue. The publication promotes literacy among school children in grades four to six. It has a newsy format with editorial content focusing on thing such as writing tips, contests and book excerpts. Young readers are encouraged to write book reviews for the magazine and send submissions for Young Authors Showcase, Mail Bag and Pen Pals. Circulation is estimated at 224,000 for the full-color publication which will be distributed free to classrooms across Canada eight times during the school year. Canadian Media Connection of Toronto and Trans Media Marketing of Mississauga, Ont. are selling advertising for Write On! The magazine is co-edited by children's authors Martyn Godfrey and Sigmund Brouwer. Write On! magazine was launched last year in black and white with 12,000 copies distributed to schools.
