Popeyes begin rebranding campaign

Restaurant chain Popeyes has begun a rebranding initiative including a new logo, the tagline "Louisiana Fast" and new advertising. According to the company, the new brand identity emphasizes the chain's forty years of "Louisiana-inspired" food. "We are re-energizing our legacy of food superiority and authenticity and we're bringing that renewed passion to Canada," said Russ Sumrall, general manager of Popeyes for the Americas. "Our brand repositioning will cater to the ever-changing needs of our guest without wavering on the authentic flavor and recognizable look that Popeyes fans know and love." The new marketing campaign consists of direct mail, Internet, radio and out-of-home advertising. It was developed by The BrainStorm Group of Toronto. Popeyes has 39 franchised locations in Canada. The chain is a division of AFC Enterprises.
