Global Television prepares 24 marathon contest

Global Television will begin a contest on Jan. 6, 2009 to promote the start of the new season of the television program 24. During the contest, called the "24/7 Ultimate Fan Marathon," entrants at the Yorkdale Mall in Toronto will attempt to watch the complete set of consecutive episodes from the first six seasons of the show. The entrant who lasts the longest will receive $24,000. Viewers can enter the contest at GlobalTV.com or by listening to Virgin Radio 999. "24 fans are incredibly passionate about the series," said Jamie Schouela, vice-president of marketing strategy at Global Television. "We can think of no better way to herald the launch of the new season than with this extraordinary mission they can call their own."
