By Adnews Staff
Hill & Knowlton has created a global corporate response group that will offer counsel CEOs and communications directors regarding the current financial crisis. The group will advise on issues such as restructuring, asset disposal, employee motivation and reputation-building. It consists of specialists from the agency's financial, analyst relations, government affairs and crisis communications groups, supported by addition staff from various WPP companies. The international group will have regional hubs in London, New York and Hong Kong. "Economic uncertainty is not a new phenomenon and strategic communication has proven to be an essential tool in helping companies find safe harbour or even benefit from market turbulence," said agency chairman and CEO Paul Taaffe. "Consequently, companies are calling for a single source of joined-up communications advice to support across a breadth of issues. Our new group will offer multi-specialist 'SWAT' teams providing analysis counsel, content and, as required, implementation via our network."
