SONY TO INTRODUCE ITS FIRST PC

Japan-based Sony Corp. is bringing its first PC to Canada in 1997. The computer is light mauve in color and comes with a Pentium 166 megahertz or 200 megahertz chip, at least 16 megabytes of memory, a hard drive of at least 2.1 gigabytes and a 28,800 bps modem. Advertising for the machines will be done by Strategic Ampersand of Toronto. Sony's U.S. division is introducing the machines in the fall.
