The Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation of Toronto is giving away $4 million in cash prizes in a fundraising lottery for its Samuel Lunefeld Research Institute. The lottery was launched in Ontario last week with 120,000 tickets available. This gives buyers a one in 35 chance of winning one of over 3,400 prizes. The grand prize is $1 million, and there are two other grand prizes of $250,000 and $100,000. The final draw will take place Aug. 22 and an early bird draw for $100,000 will take place July 25. The tickets can be purchased by calling either a Toronto phone number or a 1-888 number. Advertising supports the lottery using radio, TV, print and a brochure created by freelancer John Vanduzer. Dimark Communications of Toronto organized the lottery. The Samuel Lunefeld Research Institute is focused on areas such as breast cancer, colon cancer, sarcoma, premature labor, fetal development, asthma and diabetes. The hospital is hoping to raise $5 million from the lottery.
